The Blues part 2

A while ago in Februari we blogged on our dutch blog about our new blue espresso cups.
These were created in our new delfs blue and fresh turquoise glaze. And we loved it and went on 
with  these blue colors....
A few steady products from our "Stone & Color" series we have glazed in these colors.
Strange because i'm a real green freak - but love to make a blue moment in my life once a while :)

And that beautiful blue.... i have no clue ;) comes in a lot of shades. From steel blue to classic blues like delfs or cobalt blue. Here are two examples of our new blue products.

Ohhh we do not want to forget our turquoise cafe cups without ears - a super basic shape - from the    "Stone & Color" collectie.

  

Blue belongs to thursdays.... that's typical it is thursdaynight when i wright this blog :)

Blue is the color nobility and stands for creativity and a happy career.

In magic blue is a healing color for the soul and stands for wisdom, trust, hope, inner peace, 

strength, idealism and fairness.

Yarnbowls - Rock style....

In demand :)

Making more and more yarnbowls at the moment.
From sweet candy colors in flowery shapes to these new ones in "Rock" style.
The same as my rock tableware collection.
All pure and polished on the outside and glazed glossy and smooth in the inside.

I'm also making a collection for my recycled and reclaimed collection.

Thinking about chocolate!!

Thinking of chocolate!! - Wondering why?

Today i'm working on a costum order....
XXL mugs from the "Rock" collection.
4x yellow ones and 4x dark brown ones.
When i was throwing the dark brown ones i had only one thing on my mind :)

CHOCOLATE!!

Teapots - yeh the first are finished!!

Always have been in love with teapots - and i don't make tham often...
But i started again and i'm loving it.
The first are finished and fresh from the kiln.

This one is made of my grey stoneware clay body and glazed with
a lovely bottle green glossy glaze...

Here is one made for the "Recycled Noot" collection.
Made of reclaimed clay and glazes....a sweety don't you say!! :)

And here is one in a fresh combination of matt grey and mint.
The cups are made a bit triangle shaped at the rim to create a bit of a playful vibe....

Dinner set in Rock style!!

Finally i have managed to get the first small dinner sets in the online shop.
Out of the "Rock collection"
All these items are made behind the potters wheel.

Porcelain BIG mugs - New - with red and blue lino cut dots.

Oh i'm happy the way these lovely big hand build porcelain mugs turned out.
I have been experimenting with linoleum cutting. And started out with an easy funky
design - Dots - one mug in red and the other in blue.
And and etching technic was applied.
Funky aren't they.
Because of the thin porcelain slabs they are not totally round in the top diameter.
But that gives each mug it own character - no two are the same!!

And a bit translucent

An easy holding mug!

Also have a pair in an other technic and more will follow - love to make these!! :)

Blossom Spoons in the making!

Love to make spoons - in all kinds of styles.
I need a good mood for them and a gentle touch - because after making them i sponge them smooth.
If i have a not to good day the break so easy {onfired}......
But when they come out of the kiln glazed and well - ohhh love it!!

Here is one of the styles - my blossom spoons {in the making}.

Here you see the three parts that are needed...

...and here the cuties are made with a tiny blossom.

And hre they are finished - with a lovely lilac glaze!

Tableware Color & Stone lilac and mint video

Hi there...yeh trying some things out overhere...

This is an little video i have shoot today of my Color & Stone collection - just to get a nice impression.

Had fun making it and i hope you will too looking at it :)

In this little movie you see my home mixed cool grey stoneware clay mixed with a minty and a lilac opaque glaze. Espresso cups with stripes and dots are samples that i have tried out and i like them so soon there will be more!!

Yeh... a nice costum order....

NEW!! - Shallow bowl/Plate in Rock style....

Jaaaahhhhh de eerste is klaar en ik ben er heel blij mee.
Een fijne aanwinst voor het Rock servies - het schaaltje erop mag er ook wezen :)
Heerlijk voor muesli of een soepje vooraf.
Dit bord is gemaakt van de gelb gele steengoed klei (C - voor de mensen die al wat bekender zijn met de Rock collectie).

Yeeeeehhhhh the first is ready and i'm happy with it.
A great feature for the Rock collection tableware - the bowl on it is also a cutie.
Lovely for muesli or a soup as a starter.

This platter is in gelb yellow stoneware (C - for people who are familiar with the Rock collection).

En hier compleet met lepeltjes, kleine schaaltjes en een mooie gerberaatje!!
