Recycled Noot - Ceramics - Oval plate

A while back i have shown some Recycled Noot oval plates here - they were not yet fired.
Here it is fired and some more from this collection.

This collection has a lace texture - i love the little suprises in this reclaimed and recycled stoneware claybody...here is a bit more about the reclaiming and recycle cycle.
It has a natural and a bit rougher look than my other works.

We are a bit further than this - but time is so in my way at the moment......
They do really look like lemons - and BIG they are!!

They lemons and leaves are drying slowly now - soon more pictures of the progress...

Reclaiming and Recycling - Ceramics - Recycled Noot

I always have been a reclaiming clay kind of person...
About 3 years ago it took strange proportions and i was starting to get extreme with it!!

Now i have designed a ceramic pottery line that is all about reclaiming and recycling.
The most unexpected things occur when high fired - i love it.
Because i work with a lot of different stoneware (high fire materials) every batch is different
of color, specks, grog, light or darkness, etc.
Also all the sweep up's from my workspace go in there.
Here a collage of this cycle...

A bowl i was sponging broke and i put it in the reclaim/recycle bucket.
Upper picture are the two halfs in kind of dry stage.
The bottom pics are made two hours later - the magic of clay!!

We are nearing the end of the costum order.
Will be firing them soon - i'm curious how they will look and feel.

These are oval platters of a new designed and handmade Pepper, Salt & Oil set.
The picture was taken when the slabs were just formed in there oval shape with rim.

De cursisten zijn met zeer uit eenlopende projecten bezig...organisch, strak en natuurlijk aan het decoreren!

De students are busy with all kinds of projects....organic, modern and ofcourse decorating it all!

Vandaag een beetje geklust in de tuin  - met mijn superrrrrrrrrrrr ma...
Een beetje gezelligheid en droog ruimte - want wat is het heerlijk om je werk te kunnen laten drogen, lekker buiten.

Today we worked in the garden - a no grass garden it is :) - me and mom.
A bit of planting and making working space - i love that it is that time of year that you can let your work dry outside.

Torso serie - Tonny Cooyman

Na een paar schetsen van verschillende karakters is ze nu aan het handvormen geslagen.
De serie zal bestaan uit 8-10 klein torso's.
