That lovely time of the year!!

I always get a very happy vibe when the ice salloon arround the corner
opens his door for the public......means it is icecream time and that is a
 fine indication that spring is coming soon.
And i'm reaaly in need of SPRING ;)

Yarnbowls - Rock style....

In demand :)

Making more and more yarnbowls at the moment.
From sweet candy colors in flowery shapes to these new ones in "Rock" style.
The same as my rock tableware collection.
All pure and polished on the outside and glazed glossy and smooth in the inside.

Aventures of Tiny yellow bowl - A rainy day...

He had a bit of a rough start - discovering how small he is.
It is still not getting better.... today he looked at the sky and saw a rainy day coming.
And yes it was here in Rotterdam-Noord.






















Hopefully tomorrow the sun will shine.....

Restaurant Eendracht - Costum order!!

It already has been a while...
I made a costum order for Restaurant "Eendracht" - 20 Recycled Noot bowls.
Loved making the order and when you see the beautiful food they are holding - finger licking good!!
Today they put a picture on facebook and i thought YES WOW SUPER.
So here is a bit more about them - from the hump of clay to the finished bowl.

And here with a lovely food arrangement:
Smoked goatquark, cucumber gazpacho, citrus/green peperoil, borage, baked cucumber and a cucumber chip.......so jummie.....

The bottom pictures are different shapes of the same kind of recycled bowl.

A new costum order came about - something to do with salt, pepper & oil....

CBK - Voorbereidingen - De Geheime Tuin.

Lots of action yesterday - preparations for "De Geheime Tuin"

Het Centrum Beeldende Kunst bestaat 30 jaar (sedert 2 Mei 1982).
En dit word uitbundig en bloeiend gevierd van 5 april t/m 3 juni 2012.
De opening is donderdag 5 april om 17:30

Spotlight!!....Vilt - Ineke Hekking - Rotabs Stylecenter

Ineke Hekking "Stielvilt" - has a lovely art shop in Rotabs Stylecenter (Zaagmolenkade 46 - Rotterdam).

Ineke -> My work mainly consists of three-dimensional objects of wool sometimes combined with silk and lace. All items are handmade.
The basis of the objects is uncolored wool from different sheep breeds with an occasional accent color. Each fleece has its own structure, wich is expressed in the felt. This will create unique objects over and over again.

Here some of her beautyful art work.

She also makes pillows with felt and traditional scottish tartan (schotse ruit).

Ineke is one of the lovely artist in Rotabs Stylecenter...
There are many more - also a very nice spot to have lunch and in the summer they have a nice terras.

Rotabs stylecenter - #part 1

Today i had some deliveries in the Rotabs Stylecenter!!
Some Chinese/Dutch grey stoneware cups & yarnbowls for SAS knits it again.
My dad just dropped in so he came along and we drank a nice drink and looked arround.
What a great vibe here!!
Very lovely shops (more about them soon!!)

Rotterdamse oogst #1 2012 - 3 Maart

Het was weer zo gezellig - de Rotterdamse oogst markt.
Dit keer in het Museumpark!! op de kiezels...
Dit was het enige wat even wennen was - maar niet getreurd voor moeders met kinderwagens, mensen die iets slechter ter been zijn en dames met hoge hakjes.
De volgende is op het gladde gedeeldte.

Een aanrader en de eerst volgende is 2 Juni 2012 - yeh.

En ja we hebben een lekker druk weekendje.

kunsten op de gebouwen er te zien zijn... niet zoveel als Berlijn maar toch!
